About Us
Our mission is to provide affordable, family-friendly fall traditions for our community. We believe every child should experience the joy of the pumpkin patch, fresh air, and simple farm fun — without financial barriers.
Our Story
Peaceful Pines Farm is owned and operated by Bill and Dawn Carpenter and their family in Pine City, Minnesota. Bill and Dawn believe that family traditions are important, but they also understand how quickly activities for the whole family can become expensive. The Pumpkin Patch was born from the idea that no family should have to go without, regardless of their finances. That’s why admission, parking, and activities are always free.
Over the years, Peaceful Pines Farm has supported the community by raising funds for breast cancer awareness and the local K9 unit, donating to local churches, and contributing gift certificates to charity raffles. Each fall, they host the Golden Pumpkin Festival, where kids can search for one of three “Golden Pumpkins” each day (Saturday and Sunday). Finding one earns a special prize bag for the family. Families who don’t find a Golden Pumpkin can still enjoy a variety of free activities for a memorable fall outing.
In addition to the Pumpkin Patch, Peaceful Pines Farm operates a Pick-Your-Own Apple Orchard and grows a variety of produce, including gourds and squash. They also maintain their own beehives and offer local raw, screened honey. Checkout The Harvest Store for a variety of homemade goods, Peaceful Pines merchandise, pumpkin carving essentials, and more.
